Creating a Zoom Link for External Users

By default, LBC zoom accounts setup zoom meetings requiring you to be an LBC user. If you need to open your meetings to external users, there are 2 options. 1) use the passcode option or 2) is to utilize the waiting room feature. Follow the below instructions for setting one of these up

 

  1. Create a new meeting for Zoom via the schedule meeting button
  2. Under the security heading, uncheck “Only authenticated user can join: LBC”

  1. Check the box for either Passcode or Waiting Room
    1. Passcode will allow users to join without any of the hosts interaction
    2. Waiting Room places guests into the waiting room and the host needs to allow each user into the room.

  1. Set any other meeting settings you need like auto recording
  2. Send invite to users
