How do I connect to the ChargerNET network?

Modified on Mon, 06 Apr 2020 at 11:25 AM

ChargerNET is an additional wireless network that is available for our students. If you’re eager to register your device(s) on ChargerNET, here’s what you’ll need to know:

  • Students may register up to 4 personal devices on ChargerNET.
  • ChargerNET is a recreational network, and if you experience technical issues, support will only be available during regular business hours. Please connect to the primary LBC network for academic research and online school work.
  • In order to register your device, you’ll need the MAC address. For help finding your MAC address, search your device name (Google it! ☺) with the words "MAC Address".

To begin the registration process, please log into your My LBC home page. In the left hand column, click on “Forms”, and then “ChargerNET”. After completing the registration form, the IS Department will need up to one (1) full business day to register your device(s). You’ll receive an automated email after submitting the form containing helpful information about how to connect. Once your device is registered, you will be able to connect to ChargerNET wirelessly, using the password “chargers”.

For more information about ChargerNET, including our updated Acceptable Use Policy, please go to the Gaming and Media Devices – ChargerNET landing page. If you have technical questions or need further assistance, please contact the Help Desk at help@lbc.edu.
