This is a known bug in the Microsoft Outlook program. You will first need to close the Outlook window that is stuck on the "Processing..." message. Then follow these steps:
- Hold the "Ctrl" button while you open Outlook again. This will open a pop-up window asking if you want to open the Outlook in "Safe Mode." Select "Yes."
- Note that this pop-up window can appear behind open windows. If nothing seems to open, hover over the Outlook icon at the bottom of the screen and select the preview window that shows a small, white message box.
- If you are prompted to enter your password, enter the password for the account requested.
- If the IT department has added additional accounts to your Outlook profile by entering the password, please email the Help Desk for assistance with this step.
- Outlook will open your inbox with fewer features available. Please verify that additional emails are syncing into your inbox, then close the Outlook program.
- Re-open the Outlook program as you normally would (without holding the "Ctrl" key).
- If you are prompted to enter your password, enter the password for the account requested.
- Outlook will load your inbox as normal.
